Ronda Onda pgs 3-4

I really love page 3. I originally wanted to block out the victim's face in the last completely with the speech bubbles, buuuuttt that didn't work. I miscalculated my own pencils. Thank god for mosaic filters though, right?

This was a ten-page short comic I did for a futuristic themed anthology titled 2299. Unfortunately it wasn’t accepted, and while there are some mistakes here and there (especially near the end), generally I liked how this turned out! It’s a story for which I had too many ideas, so hopefully someday I can go back to it, maybe remake it or flesh it out into some multiple stories.

It’s about two detectives investigating a robotic crime Simple.

This didn’t have a title originally, but ‘Ronda Onda' kept floating around in my head while I was working on it. So I named it that. This is also entirely traditionally inked, but with digital tones and digital lettering. (Balloons were inked by hand.) This comic was also originally going to be in color, but time was running out and my computer started to lag only after working in color on SAI with five layers. Must have been the water brushes 8D;; So I discarded that idea. I'll be posting that color page separately soon. (link forthcoming)
