May I tell you how much I love Mr. Dark from FABLES? Yes, I dooooooo.

He eats teeth and makes dead owners of said teeth into his slaves (his "witherlings") when he spits them out. In FABLES, he represents every version existent of the Boogeyman, even referred to as 'Dullahan' by the North Wind -- he feeds on humanity's fear.


Just, just read the issues with him. You'd think he's a campy character by the way he talks and dresses. But he's so confidently eviiiillllll with himself. :love:

And so, I just had a random idea where he's just killed a bunch of people and slowly eating them all, teeth encircling him. Or something. It sounded better in my head 8D

Done with India ink, pastels and Copics. Just a tad of touching up on Photoshop.

I love the colors and details with the teeth. I also like how you were able to still Mr. Dark's existence in this, since black can kinda consume most of the background. I also like his profile, it shows the confidence he always had in the comic. The skull was a bit hard to make out at first, but looking back right now. There's an excellent affect with the decay and dematerialization. The colors do look a bit smudged on his face but it in a way helps bring out in the details of his thin facial expression and skeletal structure.

YES FINALLY someone who's made fanart to him:la::la::la::D!! Sorry for that over reaction:XD:, I just really love Fables and I don't think it gets enough fanart. And also... he's one of the best villians in my opinion:D!!

Haha, I don't mind! I'm the same when I find art of my (rare) fave charas! :3 And I agree wholeheartedly :D I thought it was going to be a bit hard to see who would be the new villain after the Adversary. Glad to see I wasn't disappointed.

Which is the same question I have now for the ongoing Fables stories D:

Yayz:meow:! I know, I admit I was doubtful about him at first. But he was a great villain:XD::D! The series is going great in my opinion:3, a surprise at every turn:D!!

And as for the villian, for the moment I think its going in multiplesXD. If you're looking at Fairest its got Snow Queen right now. And Fables well the other Winds seem a threat (at least to Bigby and the Cubs), Geppetto's still a great threat (since he's still plotting), and there are other villians who may yet return or have not been shown. Its always got possibilities.

Yes, indeedy :love: So much so that I was one of those annoying people that went into a tizzy when Once Upon A Time made it on TV. :XD: (And I still don't like the series. The main characters all annoy me XD Except maybe the kid and the stand-in/representative of Jiminy Cricket. If it were only about Rumpelstiltskin, I'd watch it...provided Robert Carlyle is him. Because I like him.*)

*Wow, I don't like a single woman on this show. That's sad.

Awesome. I've never read the book myself, but always wanted to... I once went to an exhibit on James Joyce, the guy who does the covers, when I was in art school... It was so beautiful. ;)
